What is the ideal body weight? Well, a lot depends on your sex, age, physical activity and the final weight you try to achieve thru diet and exercise. There are weight charts for the ideal weight, and these weight charts are a good starting point. If your exercise program includes weight training your muscle mass will weigh more than someone of the same age, sex and height than someone not on a weight training program.
Ideal weight could be the weight you're happy with for yourself. Of course that doesn't mean if you're overweight by 50 pounds and happy with that, being 50 pounds overweight is NOT your ideal body weight. |
